Here are the seven winter locations (Oct. 15 to Apr. 15):
SUNDAY - Valparaiso Mennonite Church, Silhavy Rd north of Evans Ave.
MONDAY - First United Methodist Church, Franklin Rd north of Jefferson Ave.
TUESDAY - Liberty Bible Church, Calumet Ave. north of Route 6
WEDNESDAY - First Presbyterian Church, corner of Valparaiso St. and Bullseye Lake Rd.
THURSDAY - Grace New Testament Church, corner of Lafayette and Monroe
FRIDAY - Valparaiso Nazarene Church, corner of Glendale and Silhavy
SATURDAY - Immanuel Lutheran Church, corner of Monticello and Glendale
If you're in need of shelter tonight, you can show up at any of these sites between 7:00 and 9:00 pm. We do work with the police, so if there's a warrant for your arrest, they'll be happy to take you to some alternative housing. Alcohol, weapons, and violent behavior are not permitted. There are some other restrictions, so if possible, please start by contacting New Creation Men's Center at 219-548-3548. They are open 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, at 653 Axe Ave. in Valparaiso.
In addition the above host churches, there are dozens of partner churches who provide meals, volunteers, and other resources. Hundreds of volunteers are involved. Thank you to all who are giving and serving to provide shelter and hospitality!
